Ok folks, I am taking the rest of the week off. I am trying to push myself to finish another book (or, a "real" book, if you will) so I am going to be busily working and unable to update my blog.
Ok, I could update, but it would be shitty, not well-thought-out updates...
Ok, so it would be EXACTLY like my normal updates. So sue me - I am still taking time off.

ReplyDeletejust clicked over from your twitter; i was IN downer's grove this past weekend! stayed in lombard for a friend's wedding. actually, the wedding was in aurora, which would've been great to know was a $60 cab ride away from lombard. i tried to get the cheapest hotel room possible and should've known to just spring for the comfort suites in aurora instead of telling myself i wouldn't drink 7 beam and diets from the open bar.
le sigh. anyway, i am so glad i don't live in chicago because man, traffic sucks. i was constantly in fear of my life. (apparently the shoulder of the road is an extra lane? who knew???)
HOLY CRAP! That is awesome - and for the record, I am available to go to weddings with you in the event you have another one - ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS AN OPEN BAR! And yes, the shoulder is another lane. Oh, and if the speed limit says 55 you'd damned well better be going at least 65 or you're getting flipped off.
