Happy Birthday Mom!

This is for you:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

EDIT: Ok, so apparently I have to explain why the heck this is funny. Well, other than the whole WTF-Factor of the Video itself. My mother, every time she hears the song You Are So Beautiful To Me, cries. My friends and I used to stand outside her window on her birthday and sing it to her. So, I looked for a video of the song, came upon this gem, and thought to myself OH HECK YES.

I am not suggesting that my mother needs a facelift. If anything, people are always surprised at how young she looks for her age (not that she's 70 or anything, I am just sayin')

So that is the backstory to the creepiest video I have seen in a long time, as well as why it is associated with my mother.

7 comments about my weirdness:

  1. Darling, you get farther and farther out every day. If your "therapist" had a mother (alive, I mean) she'd be alarmed, too. Song is nice, ad is just too creepy!

  4. What is this supposed to mean? If you prefer to continue to make ill advised decisions, then go to Vegas.

  5. (I changed your name on this)
I was a little confused because you posted this under my Mom's birthday post - so assuming you meant to reply to the post that is directly above this:

What does this mean? It means exactly what is said. I am trying to be more open about my relationship because someone said she wouldn't be able to fill in Mo's quiz for Eric and myself. So I laid it all out there for everyone and my mother to see. I realize that my friends may know these facts, but maybe not my family.

The vegas thing - we dream of vegas because of the simplicity that comes along with it. Plus Eric and I are big Penn & Teller fans, and since they never tour, we could see them.

What ill advise decisions? Are there more recent ones I am not aware of? Or are we just rehashing over the same old ground.

    This hurt me.
