I was told that there were so many stolen that they could not possibly find it. Now, had I the cash to hire a PI, I might have found out what happened.
I was called by the police department one year later to call them about my car. They wanted to tell me that they were taking it off the list of stolen vehicles. I asked why and they said that since they couldn't find it they would stop looking. They admitted that they never started looking either. My reply was that I was going to steal a Lamborghini, hold it for a year and then it would be mine. They wanted to throw me in jail.
